Rust

Breaking away from cooler neutral tones, we foresee a shift toward colours that are unexpected. We love a combination of earthiness and with a neutral palate. Rust red has the richness of red, firmness of brown and the energy of orange.

Rust can be incorporated into a simple and minimalistic room as window treatments, throw cushions, upholstered chairs, lamp shades and many more. The lush color gives visual emphasis to the space while the earthiness brings out a welcoming and cozy vibe.

A shade we recommend will be ‘Cinnamon’ from Benjamin Moore.

Rich Blues

Blue is a grounding and familiar colour, one that comes into trend every year, taking different hues. This year we anticipate a more prominent approach – blue in deeper shades on the warmer side of the spectrum.

Embracing darker shades not only provides interest, but deep blues also creates better canvas for artwork and decorative items to pop and contrast with.

Adventurers can choose to paint an entire room in ink blue, for those with a neutral palate, you may start with incorporating these blues into your furnishings like throw cushions or lounge chairs.

A shade we recommend will be ‘Blue Nova’ from Benjamin Moore.

Warm Neutrals

As the world evolves to be more environmentally conscious, we slow down the way we live slowly and get in touch with nature. From textures to materials and colours, we see elements going back to basics.

One way we can contribute to help save our environment is sustainability through the curation of materials and finishings in our homes, as mentioned in our article about Sustainability.

Colours of our interior play a crucial part in creating an ambiance that compliments nature inspired theme. Moving away from cooler gray tones, 2024 will be about embracing earthy, subtle tones that are warm and nourishing. This year, expect to see beiges, taupes and even rich nude colors.

Rose

Earthy and moody pinks are colours we can look forward to in 2024. The pandemic has caused many to be confined within their homes, having to spend long periods of time indoors, people start to seek tranquility and warmth from within. Perhaps this is why we start seeing various tones of pinks in our interiors.

Pink is a colour that exudes calmness and healing. It’s the colour of sunset from afar, bringing us closer to nature.

Pink on the subtle end of the spectrum creates a warm and elegant look, almost like an unexpected neutral. We love a dusty pink on a bedroom wall or a couch in the living area as the perfect way to add glow to the space.

Luxurious Greens

The colour green has long been celebrated for its versatility, tranquility, and connection to nature. From vibrant emeralds to serene sage, green tones offer a spectrum of possibilities for infusing spaces with freshness, vitality, and a sense of harmony. As we journey into 2024, green continues to reign supreme, with designers embracing its timeless appeal and incorporating verdant hues into interior schemes in innovative and captivating ways.

Deeply hued green embodies the essence of refinement and luxury, drawing inspiration from the grandeur of regal estates and stately manors. Its deep, velvety tones evoke a sense of opulence and sophistication, while its subtle undertones of blue and green add complexity and depth, creating a hue that is both captivating and versatile.
