Founded in 2005, Arjan designed a wide range of projects including landed property, condominiums, flats, spas, restaurants, hotels, retail and offices. This background helps him to provide a design that is tailored to the individual needs with a great level of comfort and care.

We are honoured to have our designs featured on HGTV, Channel 5 and CNA; print publications like Home and Décor, Lookbox Living, Square Rooms, The Straits Times, Harpers Bazaar, Elle Magazine, IS Magazine and Female as well as digital platforms like Yahoo! News, Houzz, Qanvast and Renopedia.

The company received the Best Residential Interior Designer, Singapore award in 2024 and its Pasir Ris home office project won the 2022 Best Residential Interior Design. Arjan won awards for Best Retail Concept in 2004, is the 2017 winner of the Innovators in Design and 2018 won Best Residential Interior Designer, Singapore voted by LUX life Magazine.

How we work

Aiden T is a full-service interior design studio that oversees the majority of tasks involved in your renovation or decoration project. Creativity and meticulous attention to detail are central to our design philosophy. As an independent entity, our services are divided into five key steps:

1. Planning and Design
   Conceptualizing the design and layout of your new home as well as preparing a detailed scope of work for contractors to provide quotes.
2. Detailing and Sourcing
   Selecting fittings, fixtures, appliances and materials as well as preparing all technical documents for project commencement.
3. Décor selection
   Curating a cohesive and functional design scheme by choosing furniture and furnishings.
4. Site co-ordination
   Supervising contractors on site and managing any necessary changes, while being point of contact between the home owner and the contractors.
5. Implementation and decoration
   Bringing the design vision to life and adding decorative touches upon the project completion by the contractors.

As independent designers, we can assist in sourcing a suitable contractor with whom we have collaborated on previous projects to realize the design vision effectively.

Team

Arjan Nijen Twilhaar

Dutch-born Arjan Nijen Twilhaar has been working on interior design projects since 1998 when his employer put him in charge opening up offices throughout Asia. His first interior project was a flagship office in Hong Kong. Arjan found himself travelling the world, staying in some of the finest hotels and spectacular locations, feeding his interest in design and creating a unique experience through interior design and space planning.

In 2001 he started an advertising and branding company that rapidly grew into a boutique agency. His passion for interior design resulted in the design for retail spaces, spas, and events. Gradually Arjan was asked to design residences, making the transition to full-time interior design by 2008.

For Arjan, the home is the essence of one’s true self. He believes that creating your own sense of style is very much the way one lives. By incorporating unique and individual pieces, Arjan creates atmospheres that are timeless and original.  Clean and collected interiors are created by combining the best elements in design, old and new, into balance.

Innovation, editing and style are the basic fundamentals of his work, focusing on clarity, proportion and light. Following through on his initial concept, the space shares a connection – a flow that offers new viewpoints with elements of surprise.

Eileen Teo

Eileen’s journey into interior design began with a major in Communications, leading to a career in client and account management at a digital firm. This initial experience instilled the importance of client servicing and project management, skills that have been invaluable in her interior design career. She learned to prioritize a smooth and enjoyable process for clients, understanding that the journey of interior design and renovation is a significant and personal experience for them.

Nurtured by her father, a seasoned professional in the industry, and driven by her early love for art, architecture, and design, Eileen transitioned into the interior design field. Her father’s mentorship provided her with knowledge and insights into the renovation journey. Accompanying him to job sites and projects deepened her understanding of how materials are used to achieve desired aesthetics and the intricacies involved in the design process. His guidance propelled her appreciation for the craftsmanship and attention to detail required in interior design.

Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the interior design industry, Eileen’s creative intuitions surfaced early on. From a young age, she was drawn to art, architecture, and design, always engaging in creative pursuits. Eileen understands of how various elements of a space come together. From the architecture to the colors, materials, finishes, and furniture, each component plays a crucial role in creating a cohesive, practical, and innovative look. Her approach to design focuses on the seamless integration of these elements to transform spaces into reflections of her clients’ personalities and lifestyles. She firmly believes that good design uncovers the potential of a space. It requires a keen eye and a sense of bravery to create environments that are unique to homeowners, providing them with comfort and warmth.

Janice Wong

Driven by a desire for creativity and a keen eye for detail, Janice embarked on a self-taught path in interior design. Her career began with hands-on experience across various projects, ranging from residential to commercial spaces. Early on, Janice understood the importance of listening to clients’ needs and translating their visions into reality. She quickly learned that interior design is not just about aesthetics but also about creating functional spaces that enhance quality of life.

Janice has developed a unique design philosophy centred around elegance through simplicity and subtlety. Her work often features a neutral palette, rich textures, and carefully selected furnishings that create a sense of understated sophistication. She sees the home as a reflection of the heart, believing that the spaces we inhabit should mirror our inner selves, offering comfort, warmth, and a true sense of belonging.

In addition to her technical skills, Janice relies on intuition when designing spaces for clients. This intuitive approach allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level, understanding their personal preferences and lifestyle needs beyond the surface.
