Overhauling this inter-terrace home, the front and back of the home was opened to bring it ample light and natural cross ventilation. Bifold doors open the ground floor, creating a bright and airy home. Centred around the desire for this natural breeze and daylight, the ground floor was entirely demolished and reconfigured to allow a more spacious lay-out.
Marble flooring was chosen for the living room to keep the home clean lined and contemporary, while still maintaining a timeless aesthetic. In view of adding more storage and adding modern resort vibe, wall panelling double up as cabinets as well as to hide the Aircons. By breaking the design pattern, a playful element is introduced and adds an airy look to the blond wood finishes on the rest of the wall.
The kitchen was widened to allow an island. Applying different finishes on the cabinets breaks up the monotonous look a large row of carpentry. Special attention to detailing is given to the rounded corners, not only on the island, but throughout the carpentry of the unit.
In the bathrooms a darker hue was selected to bring a posh yet elegant vibe. Specially cut tiles are laid in an interesting pattern to add another layer of detailing.
