Taking inspiration from the Colonial Styles found in Northern Thailand, the design is a coming together of various styles following the ancient Silk Route. Dark woods contrast with light walls and traditional architectural details are getting a contemporary makeover. The kitchen will be relocated to the previous living room, in order to provide a large kitchen that includes a larder room as well as a large island.

Entertaining will be done at the dining area as well as the various patios the house features. In the basement, a family room will have a small study area as well as the TV. On the second floor, a large master suite includes a walk-in wardrobe as well as an en-suite. Using materials like rattan, louvered doors and dark woods will give that Colonial vibe, while artworks and furniture pieces are an eclectic mix of traditional heritage elements.

The Junior Master includes an en-suite bathroom while the third floor will have a playroom, a guest room, common bathroom and helpers’ quarters. Divided over 4 levels, the house will get a complete transformation from dated strata home to an elegant and up to date home.
