Clean Eclectic @ Watersite

Clean lines with white walls and woodworks puts the emphasis on the wide range of furniture, artwork and decor pieces.

Design areas: Living and Dining Room, TV room, Kitchen, Master Bedroom with En-Suite bathroom, Kids Bedrooms, Study, Powder Room, Common Bathroom and utility areas |  Project completed: 2019 |  Renovation budget: SGD190,000 – SGD210,000 – Designer: Arjan Nijen Twilhaar

For the artwork, furniture and decor pieces to stand out, a white and bright canvas serves as an ideal backdrop. Architectural details are kept to a minimum, with an emphasis on spray painted white wood works and strategically placed lighting. In the living areas, the existing marble was maintained while the rest of the home received a complete overhaul. Internal walls were shuffled around to create a spacious master suite.

The kitchen was extended out, to provide more counterspace and storage. This required a new lay-out for the utility areas and yard. All the bathrooms were updated, and new flooring added for the bedrooms. As easy maintenance was key as well as trying to reduce areas that can collect dust, most of the details were stripped back – emphasising a minimalist approach to the interior design with a maximised interior decorating approach.

Overall colours are kept light, with contrasting wood elements and colourful artwork and plants. This results in a spacious and bright apartment that oozes personality.
