This penthouse BTO in Clementi reflects personality through the eclectic farmhouse elements. At every turn, little vignettes catch your eye and add personal touches throughout the house. This large 5-room BTO with fantastic views had an ideal layout to create a spacious home. The kitchen was opened up and a breakfast area was created, while a large sectional sofa demarcates the living space.
Through the architectural detailing like shiplap, cased openings and farmhouse style arch trim, a country vibe was created. The eclectic personal touches were created through vignettes of rustic elements, carefully curated mix and match display items and unique art pieces.
It was the objective to create an open feel, airy and bright home. By adding french doors to the bedroom adjacent to the dining area, more light was brought in to the middle of the home. Intended to be a study, at the moment it is used as a nursery. Throughout the home, wood tiles were laid in a herringbone pattern and the perimeter border tile offers a nice finish to the room.
In the kitchen, the shaker doors are finished in full laminate and other rustic elements are added to create a country style. Powder pink clay tiles are a retro nod to the kitchen from a bygone era and add a soft colour and rusticate the clean-lined space.
The master bedroom is kept neat and spacious, with special detailing to the finish of the muslin curtains. In the master bathroom, herringbone subway tile is mixed with gold finished fittings and wood elements. While in the common bathroom, the subway tiles are finished with a brass detail halfway through the wall and finished off with water-resistant paint.
